Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 7, 2026

This is a starting template — review and edit each section below so it accurately describes what GeliRoll actually collects and does before publishing.

Overview

This policy explains what information GeliRoll ("the App") collects, how it's used, and your choices. GeliRoll is built by MirodaLab ("we", "us").

Information We Collect

GeliRoll is designed to run locally on your machine. The gel images you import, the bands you detect or annotate, and the plots you export are processed and stored on your device — we don't receive copies of your data. If a future version adds optional cloud features, this section should be updated to describe what's collected and why.

How We Use Information

Because GeliRoll runs locally, we don't collect or use your gel images or experimental data. Any information you send us directly (for example, by contacting us for support) is used only to respond to you.

Data Storage & Security

Your data never has to leave your machine to use the App. If GeliRoll later adds cloud sync or a hosted service, describe here where that data would be stored and how it's protected.

Third-Party Services

This website uses Giscus for comments, which stores comments as GitHub Discussions under GitHub's own privacy policy. The App itself does not currently integrate third-party analytics or advertising SDKs — update this section if that changes.

Children's Privacy

GeliRoll is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the App changes. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
